Summary:
The Distributed Generation Reliability Survey Tool (DGRST) software is a survey and data collection tool that was formulated for an assessment of the operational reliability and availability parameters of selected distributed generation installations. DGRST uses a Microsoft® Access database environment to assure software compatibility with various MS Windows® operating systems. DGRST is designed for safe, accurate exchange of data in uniform formats, allowing users to collect information needed to evaluate the operational reliability of distributed generation facilities, store the information in a central location, and retrieve it for analysis. DGRST has a hierarchical structure, in which plants or facilities can have many units. There is a monthly operating history for each unit and lists of events for each unit. Before ordering this software, users are advised to first obtain and review a copy of the users manual, GRI-03/0091.1. The users manual contains detailed descriptions of the software functions, types of information collected, and the database organization and operation. The software was designed for a specific project and will not be suitable for other projects unless it is modified.
