Chartered Industrial Gas Consultant (CIGC)

CIGC, GTI's premier industrial natural gas sales training program, is all-new for 2009.


What is the CIGC program?
The CIGC certification program provides representatives who sell and market to large natural gas end users the most complete array of sales and technological tools available. To meet the needs of today's marketers, the program has been restructured for 2009.The new format offers opportunities to customize your training and concentrate on the technologies and topics most relevant to your career.

Why was the program restructured?
Today’s sales and customer service personnel must handle a wider variety of industrial customers. To provide top-notch service,you must understand new technologies, energy efficiency programs, project financing, and regulated and deregulated gas supply issues. The new CIGC program offers a modular approach and gives those who market to both industrial and commercial customers more options. Here's how it works:

1) Newcomers to the CIGC or RCGC (Registered Commercial Gas Consultant) programs start with one or both of the following 4-day Fundamentals courses. (Both must be completed for certification.)
2) Next, you'll choose any two of the following 2-day courses.
3) Then, depending on whether you are pursuing CIGC (industrial marketers) or RCGC (commercial marketers), you'll take two more 2-day courses.

Where are the courses held?
The CIGC classes meet at GTI's downtown Chicago classroom in the DoubleTree Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile. Students needing accommodations enjoy special, attractive room rates. Courses are scheduled back-to-back so that you can conveniently attend multiple courses within one or two weeks.
