Poster Guidelines for tcbiomass2017

Thank you for your planned participation at tcbiomass2017! In order for us to keep the program accurate, we request that you register for the conference as soon as possible.

Before you arrive in Chicago in September, we have a few times and guidelines for you to keep in mind.

  • You are responsible for creating and printing your poster.
  • If you have any changes to your presenting author or poster title, you will need to relay these to us by Monday, September 4 to see the changes reflected in the printed conference program.
  • Poster set-up will take place on Monday, September 18, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. You may also set up your poster(s) on Tuesday, September 19, between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. All posters must be completely set up by 8:00 AM, September 19.
  • Poster sizes may not exceed four (4) feet high by four (4) feet wide. Display boards will be 8 feet (about 2.4m) wide by 4 feet (about 1.2m) high, and will be split in half to accommodate two presenters on each side of each board.
  • Each board will have a number displayed on the upper right-hand corner. The numbers will correspond to the numbers listed in the printed final program. For your layout planning, note that this number will be four inches by four inches, so please allow room for it.
  • Poster titles will not be provided, so please include your title in your poster display.
  • Pushpins for affixing posters to the display boards will be provided to all poster presenters.

    For Student Poster Challenge participants:

  • Posters will be judged at poster sessions throughout the conference.
  • Your poster(s) will be rated in four categories: clarity of message, understanding and completeness of the message, visual impact and attractiveness, and student’s individual effort.
  • Competition winners will be announced before lunch on Thursday, September 21.
