tcbiomass2015—the 4th international conference on thermochemical (TC) biomass conversion science—will take place 2-5 November 2015 in downtown Chicago, IL USA. tcbiomass2015 will bring together the world’s experts in biomass gasification, pretreatment, pyrolysis, and upgrading to explore progress in the bioeconomy.
Each event, tcbiomass engages over 300 attendees, and brings together the world’s brightest minds in biomass pretreatment, gasification, pyrolysis, and upgrading. The biennial conference will take place 2-5 November 2015 at the Westin Chicago River North hotel in downtown Chicago, IL USA.
Developments in the conversion of renewable resources into a variety of fuels, chemicals and energy products is driving the emergence of an increasingly diverse and significant bioeconomy. Thermochemical processes extract maximum product yields from biomass resources. This year, taking Technology for the Bioeconomy as the overall theme, tcbiomass2015 participants will be at the center of international collaboration, hearing the latest research, development, and deployment results for thermal biomass conversion technologies and systems to help grow the bioeconomy and reach a sustainable, more diverse energy future.
This conference is all about the technology, and will host 3-days of peer-reviewed scientific presentations and posters on the latest industry developments that enable production of clean heat and power, transportation fuels, chemicals, char, and other high-value products. The event will kick-off with a welcome reception on the evening of Monday, 2 November, and end Thursday, 5 November. An optional biorefinery pilot plant tour will take place on Friday, 6 November at Gas Technology Institute (GTI).
Vann Bush, GTI’s Managing Director, Energy Supply and Conversion, and Kyriakos Maniatis, Principal Administrator in the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission, will return as conference co-chairs.
