Establishing standardized risk models
GTI developed an open, industry-standard comprehensive risk model that will provide analysis across a broad range of assets and threats—facilitating risk comparisons to help in determining the appropriate mitigation techniques for operators to use in responding to distribution integrity management program (DIMP) regulations.
3.0 Distribution Integrity Management Risk Model, developed by GTI under funding from OTD and available from GL Noble Denton, offers core support for all the key elements of distribution integrity management program regulations. The tool provides an integrated environment for the integrity management of gas distribution and transmission pipeline assets.
Throughout its history, GTI has worked to help operators comply with regulatory requirements. Current efforts are focused on advanced modeling and analysis tools to
maximize critical infrastructure performance with probabilistic methods
