Using enzymes to mitigate biocorrosion

Controlling the proliferation of microbially influenced corrosion (MIC) can generate significant cost savings while maintaining a safe and reliable delivery system. The industry currently uses biocides to control biofilm formation and MIC. GTI is considering options for demonstrating the use of enzymes as an environmentally safe, alternative to break down biofilms and mitigate biocorrosion.
